The history of Lord Michlo is shrouded in some mystery with tales abounding
of betrayal, grief, courage and nobility. Those brave enough to seek it from
the man himself are usually politely refuted though usually not before seeing
the grief and sadness the question invokes in him. What little is known from
what has been pieced together from various sources is as follows.
The Grandfather of Michlo was one of the Council of Hierarchs of the Aracoix
Empire said to be very close to the Autarch herself. Whilst some of the Aracoix
now speak of this scion with disgust, others quietly speak of his courage and
foresight. It seems that his was one of the first voices to openly question
the rigidity with which the Empire followed it's Hrak'shyia (translated
as Law or Plan). Whilst not denying it's value and persistent worth to
the Empire, Alb'chlo sought only to review and update this Hrak'shyia
which had been inscribed by the very first Autarch, Arack, many millennia ago.
He proposed that with all their increasing knowledge and wisdom surely they
ought to ensure that it's tenets still related to their day and age.
Such questioning would usually be met with scorn and a summary exile from the
Empire. The fact that a Hierarch himself was proposing this was unheard of.
Also, it is said that Alb'chlo was much loved by the people and perhaps
by the Autarch herself. Heated discussions abounded, arguments raged and even
battles broke out amongst the Empire. When he saw what his words had wrought,
when he saw that his people were not yet ready for such forward thinking and
when he saw the hurt it was causing his beloved Autarch, Michlo's Grandfather
chose to accept a position as one of the Expeditionaries who would venture through
the ancient Peridules into unknown Realms.
Shortly before his departure, however, a group who sought to ensure that such
questioning of the Hrak'shyia would be forcefully quashed attacked Alb'chlo.
It is said that despite being outnumbered and taken in ambush, Lord Alb'chlo
fought valiantly and routed his attackers. Unfortunately, the attack left Alb'chlo
beaten, mortally wounded and most devastating of all, without the use of his
wings. One of the oldest tenets of Aracoix Law states that those who can no
longer fly are of no use to the Empire and were to be mourned as lost. It now
seemed that Alb'chlo's voice would not only be stilled but his honour
besmirched.
Lord Alb'chlo had a son, Mich'lotich. Much to everyone's surprise,
he sought permission to take his father's place as Expeditionary. This
meant that rather than his father's honour and vision be lost, he would
carry it with him to new Realms. As his father passed from the physical plane,
Mich'lotich began his journey. As he left the Aracoix home world he had
one last surprise for the people. He would change his family name to Walker
in honour of his father and all those others bereft of flight and denounced
as worthless. Taking with him only the clothes upon his back and some loyal
friends and followers of his father he stepped through the mystical Peridule.
Thus the noble Lord Mich'lotich arrived in the strange, exotic world of
Aerynth.
Surprisingly this is where the tale becomes further shrouded in mystery. All
that is known is that Mich'lotich is supposed to have been horrified at the
conflict, diversity and seeming lack of law and cohesion he found in this world.
Some say he sought to isolate himself and his followers in the frozen, remote
mountains north of the Mainland where it seems he sired a son, Michlo.

Details from this point on are even sketchier.
For instance nothing is known of Michlo's mother. Who is she? Some say
his family still reside in the high mountain range of the frozen north.
Suffice it to say that Michlo struck out on his own in the world and from
all accounts sought a way to balance the seeming chaos and diversity with
the belief in structure and law so dear to the Aracoix.
It is said that he believes it possible for all races to add to the enlightenment
and strength of all in a world.
Some of this belief is said to be embodied and influenced in his close
friendship with a wise old Druid named Karjen. This noble Centaur surely
has his own tale to tell those it is known that the Druids believe more
in the very essence and nature of a world rather than the idolizing of
structure, monument and Gods and that they seek balance and harmony in
all life. |
Now, as we know, Lord Michlo has settled in the lands of ice and much to his
surprise has gathered a Clan about him. Seeming to have inherited his family's
sense of honour, wisdom and nobility he has become a natural leader to some
and strives to protect them whilst still furthering his understanding of the
world about him.

Lord Michlo
Founder and Protector of Clan Walker.
The Lord is dead, long live the King?
Strange tidings indeed.
It seems that powerful magic has been brought to bear on Clan Walker. Sinister
forces conspired against what was seen by many as a strong, noble nation.
The Clan is now shattered and split between three Realms and are limping along
trying to re-structure and band together once more. Being the stalwart noble
Clan that they are nobody doubts that they will succeed and adapt but all are
in wonder over their own Lord Michlo.
It seems the pinnacle of the evil spell was unleashed directly against the Leader
and his council. Some of them have had their beings wrenched entirely from the
Realm they've known all their lives only to be displaced to a strange new world.
Some are caught in a fugue, their consciousness and even physical being split
into multiple pieces. Their very appearance has been altered and all are wondering
how they will adapt and combat this terrible power.
Some believe this force may have come from
the Aracoix home world due to it's affects on Lord Michlo. Perhaps due
to his trying to live amongst and understand those seen as Duriacoix,
Lord Michlo too has been split. His Aracoix being is now a faint whisper
of his former self. His new being has lost not only his mighty wings but
very Aracoix being. He finds himself with the visage of a fiend.
Driven and tortured, Michlo now seeks a way not only to ensure his Clan
continues but to regain his former being. He is withdrawn and troubled,
elusive. Some feel he is almost ashamed to be seen this way though most
sense the goodness still in his heart.
He now relies heavily upon his Royal Court to screen him from the people
that he may dwell upon his own thoughts and investigations. All who seek
help from the Guild are directed to approach the Royal Court only. After
hearing their need an audience may sometimes be granted but now that is
seldom and rare. |

As a gesture of continued support amidst these strange and trying times, the
Clan saw fit to recognize Lord Michlo as their Sovereign, still leading them
despite all their new challenges. He seems barely to have recognized this humbling
compliment and gesture by his people except to acknowledge the forming of the
Royal Court.
Despite the changes, a fervor seems to have gripped the Clan. They will grow!
They will succeed. They've faced challenges before and they've adapted and overcome
them.
As for Michlo, only time will tell.
