| Naratic Rathborne |
| Naratic Rathborne, now Lord Naratic of Clan Walker, was born to one
of the last noble houses of humans on Istaria. His mother died giving
birth to him, and as a result his father Hildurm Rathborne, fairly well
spoiled Naratic, his only son, during his youth. Naratic was all that
his father had left of his wife. After showing some potential as a magic user, Naratic was sent to one of the best wizards in the land to apprentice. While he was away from home, his ancestral home was destroyed, as so many were at that time. With his tuition no longer forthcoming, the Wizard refused to teach Naratic unless he acted as his servant as well. The wizard could plainly see the marks of a spoiled child in Naratic, and so forced him to do every menial job in the keep. While cleaning many a chamber pot and dish, Naratic learned compassion for the "lower classes" of the world. He also came to realize that he was now one of those "lower class". Upon graduating from the wizards tutelage, Naratic was forced to journey into lands he had never seen, with no where to call home. He had one dream, to regain the glory and status of his family name. Naratic was humbled greatly by his time spent as the wizards servant, as well as by the fall of his ancestral home. None the less, he was once nobility, and this does occassionally bring out the arrogant side of the young man. |
